Polyhexamethylene-biguanide hydrochloride PHMB is widely used in medicine for sterilization and antisepsis.
As a medical product, it is used to sterilize contact lenses, eye drops, and surgical procedures.
Due to the strong tolerance of the eye to PHMB, it can be used as a treatment of acanthamoeba keratitis, prevention and treatment of other eye diseases, and PHMB is also widely used in cosmetics, personal care products, textiles, food industry and so on.
