Product Description

2,6-Dihydroxypurine, also called xanthine, is a compound formed by the fusion of a pyrimidine ring and an imidazole ring. It is a yellow flaky crystal, hardly soluble in water, alcohol, and easily soluble in  hydroxide. Sodium is dissolved in solution. At pH6, there is maximum absorption at 267nm wavelength. There is no melting point for thermal decomposition. This product is soluble in   water and acidic solution, slightly soluble in water and ethanol, insoluble in organic solvents.
