Product Description

Guanidine carbonate, White crystalline powder. Melting point 1 98ºC (partial decomposition). The relative density is 1.25. At 25 ° C, a 4% aqueous solution has a pH of 11.2. Solubility at 20ºC in the following solution lOOg, 42g/lOOg water, 0.55 /lOOg methanol. Almost insoluble in acetone, benzene and ether. Its aqueous solution is slowly hydrolyzed above 0ºC, releasing ammonia gas and forming urea.

Function and Application of Guanidine carbonate 
This product is an organic synthesis raw material and analytical reagent. It is used as pH regulator of amino resin, antioxidant, resin stabilizer and guanidine soap, etc. It is also used as an additive of cement slurry and surfactant. In the synthesis of detergents, it is used as a moisture resistant agent and a synergist. In the determination of zinc, cadmium and manganese weight, it is used as a precipitating agent and also for the separation of magnesium from alkali metals.
