Para-chloro-meta-xylenol (PCMX) is a preservative and disinfectant.P-chloro-m-xylenol soluble in alcohol, ether, polyglycol and other organic solvents and strong alkali aqueous solution, its chemical properties are stable, usually under storage conditions will not be inactivated, there is a weak phenolic odor, generally provided in solution form, mainly used for skin disinfection and cleaning surgical instruments.
