Chlorhexidine gluconate is a biguanidine chlorobenzene, which has a wide range of antimicrobial activities. It is also a disinfectant and antiseptic, and has a very strong broad-spectrum antibacterial and bactericidal effect on gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria.
